Testimonies

Do you have a story about how God has worked in your life through this ministry? Or a conference experience to share? I always appreciate hearing testimonies about how he’s making the broken whole, bending the crooked straight, setting captives free, answering prayer, and advancing his Kingdom.

    Hi Mary,

I just wanted to let you know how life transforming Conversation Peace has been in my life. I did the bible study with a church group a few years ago and it was very helpful. Last year I got married and realized that many of the issues I thought I had conquered as a single woman were rearing their ugly head in my marriage! Anyway, long story short…I convinced my husband and 3 other couples to do the study again with me! We had to track down the old bible study on the internet but we soon found enough copies for everyone. We are half way through the study and everyone agrees that it has been a real answer to prayer. Have you considered doing a study on the power of the tongue for couples? If not, I highly suggest you do! We have all been so blessed. Thanks so much for your ministry! Keep on serving Christ!

  2. Praying Brother in Christ says:

    Mary,

Several months back I attended your prayer seminar at Southeast Christian Church. I was never one to pray much, except for traditional prayers such as the Our Father. Your conference impacted me deeply. I realized the importance of prayer and how as Christians we are intended to intercede in situations through prayer. I was excited about your prayer challenge based on the person who prayed for Kenya. I wanted to let you know I took your challenge and after God gave me something special to pray for, the experience has deepened my faith. Below is a brief summary of my experience.

A little over a month ago my brother was sent to prison. This situation is peronsally painful, but I am hanging on to the Lord as I can see him working for good in this mess. I tell you I was blessed one night when my brother called to talk to me.

Before I tell you the story he told me, I need to tell you that I have been praying for the Lord to send my brother a missionary of His word to help guide and teach my brother. I also prayed for my brother to receive His word. I have been praying for my brother to accept Christ in his life and that though the hope of Jesus he will be transformed into a new man.

A few days ago when my brother called, hetold me that he had started reading the bible. He went on to say that a fellow inmate saw him reading the bible. The man asked my brother if he believed what was in that book. Nervously, my brother told him that he did not understand much of it, but based on the sincerity of my testimony he thought he should read it for himself. He did note that based on what he had read so far, he believed Jesus was our only source of salvation. The man went on and asked if my brother was one doing a bible study. My brother said not yet, explaining that he had just started reading the bible for the first time 3 weeks ago. The man went on to explain how he runs a weekly bible study in the recreation room two times a week and that my brother was invited to join.

My brother took him up on the offer and said it was an awesome experience. There were only 4 other prisoners who joined in, but they read a couple verses, talked about the meaning and even took a quiz at the end. Afterward the man gave my brother a book on loan. It was a red cover life application study bible with maps in the back.

I tell you the truth, God is answering my prayers. The prison rejected my attempts to send my brother a life application study bible, but God intervened and got His word to my brother. The prison may be able to stop me, but they are nothing against the power of God.

This has definitely been a faith deepening experience for me. I pray it will do the same for everyone who reads it.
