Outraged by his statement, Jennifer McCreight, a 22-year-old student at Purdue University in Indiana, invited women to collectively bare their breast cleavage today to scientifically test the cleric’s theory. But as the day dawned, and women around the world began to bare their cleavage, a strong earthquake measuring 6.9 on the Richter scale struck southeast of Taiwan.
Wise vs. Wild Contrast #7: Appearance
A Girl-Gone-Wise presents herself in different manner than a Girl-Gone-Wild. Her appearance doesn’t scream, “Look at me!” The way she styles her hair and does her make-up enhances her looks, but doesn’t clamor for attention. Her clothing doesn’t invite onlookers to see or imagine her nakedness. She adorns herself in a dignified, God-exalting way.

The Modesty of Personal Restraint
As the spring season blooms, talk about modesty heats up in Christian conversation as fast as the weather. Bloggers, radio hosts, and the rest of us lament the shorter hemlines, deeper necklines, exposed bellies, and bare bottoms in thong bikinis at the neighborhood swim club. But immodesty deals with a lot more than revealing too much skin. We are just as prone—if not more so—to overexpose what’s under our skin.
